Databases

  • Academic Search Premier
Academic Search Premier is the best general database to search. It covers everything from art to zoology. ASP contains over 8300 journals in all academic disciplines with over 4600 full text journals.
  • MLA International Bibliography
MLA (Modern Language Association) is the database for literature and folklore research. MLA is difficult to use so pay close attention to the captions by each search box when entering your terms. MLA is also not full text. Make sure you use the "Find It" button.
  • Find It!
No full text? Click "Find It" by the article to get it elsewhere, or to order it (learn more).

If your first search brings up too many irrelevant items, try using the Refine by Topic suggestions in the box on the left of the search results screen.
